Exsolved Nanoparticles Decorated Double Perovskites as High-Performance Anodes for Direct-Ammonia Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

چکیده

Due to the high energy density, mature production technology, ease of storage and transportation, no carbon/sulfur nature ammonia fuel, direct-ammonia solid oxide fuel cells (DA-SOFCs) have received rapidly increasing attention, showing distinct advantages over H2-fueled SOFCs low-temperature cells. However, DA-SOFCs with conventional Ni-based cermet anodes still suffer from several drawbacks, including serious sintering inferior activity for decomposition, strongly limiting large-scale applications. To tackle above-mentioned issues, exsolved NiCo nanoparticles decorated double perovskite oxides are fabricated employed as high-performance in this work. By optimizing Ni doping amount Sr2CoMo1−xNixO6−δ (x = 0.1, 0.2 0.3), reduced Sr2CoMo0.8Ni0.2O6−δ (r-SCMN2) anode exhibits superb catalytic cracking reaction anti-sintering capability. More specifically, electrolyte-supported single cell r-SCMN2 nanocomposite delivers superior power outputs operational durability compared other r-SCMN owing significantly promoted nanoparticle exsolution stronger interaction between alloy support. In summary, study presents an effective strategy design efficient stable DA-SOFCs.

Redox Stable Anodes for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

*Correspondence: Fanglin Chen, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of South Carolina, 300 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29208, USA e-mail: [email protected] Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) can convert chemical energy from the fuel directly to electrical energy with high efficiency and fuel flexibility. Ni-based cermets have been the most widely adopted anode for SOFCs. However, the conv...

One –step synthesis of PdCo alloy nanoparticles decorated on reduced grahene oxide as an Electro-catalyst for Oxygen Reduction Reaction in Passive Direct Methanol Fuel Cells

We report a Pd-Co (3:1)/graphene oxide (Pd3Co /GO) catalyst through a one-step strategy. GO is synthesized from graphite electrodes using ionic liquid-assisted electrochemical exfoliation. Controllable GO-supported Pd3Co electrocatalystis then was reduced by ethylene glycol as a stabilizing agent to prepare highly dispersed PdCo nanoparticles on carbon graphene oxide to be used as oxygen reduct...

Oxyanions in perovskites: from superconductors to solid oxide fuel cells.

In this article we review work on oxyanion (carbonate, borate, nitrate, phosphate, sulphate, silicate) doping in perovskite materials beginning with early work on doping studies in superconducting cuprates, and extending to more recent work on doping into perovskite-type solid oxide fuel cell materials. In this doping strategy, the central atom of the oxyanion group occupies the perovskite B ca...

Novel Mg-Doped SrMoO3 Perovskites Designed as Anode Materials for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

SrMo1-xMxO3-δ (M = Fe and Cr, x = 0.1 and 0.2) oxides have been recently described as excellent anode materials for solid oxide fuel cells at intermediate temperatures (IT-SOFC) with LSGM as the electrolyte. In this work, we have improved their properties by doping with aliovalent Mg ions at the B-site of the parent SrMoO₃ perovskite. SrMo1-xMgxO3-δ (x = 0.1, 0.2) oxides have been prepared, cha...
